Childhood is such a magical time to learn, play, grow and start making sense of the world. At Magic of Learning your child will be given ample opportunities to explore and develop a sense of self. Throughout the year we will have activities that cultivate problem solving, peer interaction, and acquire academic skills.
Our approach for kindergarten prep is a whole body approach. Not only will their minds be filled with curiosity and letter sounds, but their eyes will be open to wonder, their fingers will get stronger as they develop fine motor skills, their ears will be filled with music, their feet with movement, and their hands with sensory experiences. Basically, we're going to have fun and learn a lot.
We will have strong link to the magic of books. The children will get to hear many wonderful books. Each week we will specifically dig into a highly recommended book, often choosing from a list of 100 books to hear before kindergarten. As we read books and teach the children the power of words and the Magic of Learning, we hope to inspire them to love books too. We also delight in the beautiful illustrations, including many Caldecott honor and winner books. The children see that they too are artists as they engage in many types of art.
Magic of Learning is an in home preschool in the Highland Park neighborhood of Sugar House.
